PREVENTING CANCER WITH SPICES: TURMERIC FOR CANCER PREVENTION

TURMERIC IS A YELLOW COLORED INDIAN SPICE

WHAT IS TURMERIC

Turmeric is an Indian spice known for its cancer fighting properties. It is present in Curey, but only 20% of Curey powder is composed of turmeric; therefore, if you are using the spice for cancer fighting purposes, you might want to purchase turmeric individually. Turmeric is a yellow powder; it must be mixed with black pepper in order to pass through the intestines, so be sure to mix it with pepper in order for it to do the job you want it to do for you. It is also worth noting that it must be black pepper, not just any pepper. Using in food along with black pepper, turmeric is one of the strongest known inhibitors of angiogenesis in malignant cancer tumors.

WHAT IS ANGIOGENESIS?

Most of us know what metastasis means, being the process by which cancer spreads from one organ of the body to another. What we may not know is that in order to do so, a tumor must create blood vessels in order to travel to other organs. The process by which cancer creates blood vessels in order to travel and grow is called angiogenesis. These blood vessels are also necessary in order for the tumor to receive nourishment in order to thrive. If a tumor cannot form blood vessels for its own use, it will not grow large enough to be a threat.

HOW DOES TURMERIC FIGHT CANCER?

Turmeric inhibits and stops angiogenesis, the forming of new blood vessels in order for the cancerous tumor to grow and metastasize. In this way it helps stop the cancer from spreading.

HOW TO USE TURMERIC

If you are not familiar with turmeric, you may need some coaching on how to use it. First of all, mix it with black pepper. About 1/4 tea spoon of turmeric should be added to a pinch of black pepper, and 1/2 or one full tablespoon of olive oil. To avoid a bitter taste, mix in several drops of agave nectar, then mix with whatever salad dressing you choose to use, or add to food that is being cooked.

CONCLUSION

Indians tend to use turmeric daily, perhaps accounting for the fact that they have a much lower percentage of cancer overall in their general population. using turmeric is just another way to fight cancer in your kitchen, hopefully, before, or while you fight it with the help of your oncologist.

  1. It is a very article. I shall pass it on to my friends to educate them the
value of tumeric. I myself use them. Is it true that people with gallstone or
pregnant should not use it? I have gallstone, I use about 1/2 tsp. a day.
Please update me with the latest research on Tumeric.
